There appear to be 3 states of self. Instinctual, incorporating body and basic functioning, self as a perspective of humanity aka the conscious mind and personality, then SELF which for all intended purposes we shall call a soul. So Soul sets up this lifetime with this Body and a fresh localized mind.. Everything is set. The body is the perfect instrument for SELF to be able to explore with, and localized mind is all sorted to take care of the day to day stuff.
The issue starts when the mind through interaction with it's environment begins to perceive that it is not good enough for its role.
SELF didn’t come here to improve self. Self is unique to
this lifetime. SELF came here to enjoy the fruits of it’s labours. Self doesn’t
need to do anything, change anything etc.
Religion, and potentially other avenues such as the
education system and the competitive sporting system all contribute to the
perception that self is not good enough and therefore should strive to become
good enough. In my case, so I perceived, so that SELF can come through and then Self can
experience the abilities of SELF as if it were their own.
Self
exists relative to Instinctual programming. It can see a difference between itself and instinct. This is what separates the human experience from an animal perspective.
There is “self” awareness. But this “self” awareness is of the perspective, (the experiencing perspective of the SELF including body, mind and environment) being
aware of itself, but does not see itself as a perspective. This is a very, very
important point. If instinctual consciousness is capable of interacting with
Conscious awareness (individualized self), and each can recognize their
individual states of consciousness, then, self must also be able to recognize
SELF. It may not KNOW self, but can recognize there is a higher state there, in
the same way that instinctual self, recognizes self is there, but cannot KNOW
self. To instinctual Consciousness, self, could well feel like a god. To self,
SELF will also feel like a god, but the reason there is no urgency nor any natural
state of relinquishing, of control of the perspective is because everything is
perception, and therefore implied. Effectively it is belief. On that basis at
each point, the lower states of consciousness must relinquish their control of
the perspective to the higher states in order for evolution to progress. This perhaps is what the true term of FAITH means.
Did the perspective lose the instinctual consciousness,
nope. Will self lose it’s state of existence when it relinquishes control to
SELF. Nope, because SELF, doesn’t want to do the day to day things. Just like self
doesn’t want to manually breath.
Should instinct be comparing itself to self? If it did, ……if
it felt it had to…..or if it felt it had to become self, it would be unaccepting
of itself and be in conflict. In the same way, self is not meant to become
SELF. Self, is meant to be self, and accept its role, and do it well.
Does self have to become the best version of itself? If it
perceived it had to do this, then it would be trying to achieve something…it
could also begin to feel like it was not good enough. Did self expect
instinctual self to become the best version of itself? No…it was already perfect
as it was. So too with self. As far as SELF is concerned, self is perfect
exactly as it is. It just needs to acknowledge SELF and relinquish control.
I think that was what the conflict was stated in the
original human condition. The conflict was, that instinctual self, needed to let
go so self could take over. Instinctual self, did not cease to exist when it relinquished
control…this is very important. Self will not cease to exist but it must relinquish
control. To do this, it must accept that it is already perfect exactly as it is,
and thus it’s journey is now complete.
